What is  Oxindole

Hydroxyindole, also known as "indolone", is an aromatic heterocyclic organic compound containing nitrogen. It has a bicyclic structure, consisting of a benzene ring and a five-memion nitrogen heterocyclic ring. It can be viewed as indoline oxygenated at position 2. In fact, the original meaning of "hydroxyindole" is that the indole ring is superseded by hydroxyl at two positions, but due to the tautomerism of the enol structure, the ketone conformation shown in the figure on the right is the dominant conformation.
