Dienogest is an orally-active, semisynthetic, fourth generation, nonethinylated progestogen with antiproliferative, antiandrogenic, anti-inflammatory and antiangiogenic activities that is used in hormone therapy and as a female contraceptive.

Function&Application of Dienogest

Denoprogesterone is a mixed progesterone that has the pharmacological advantages of both natural and synthetic progesterone.The semi-effective oral dose of denoprogesterone was 0.11mgThe endocrine pharmacological properties of denogestrol are very good. Because it only binds to the progesterone receptor, it has no estrogenic, anti-estrogenic and androgen activity. The anti-gonadotropin activity (inhibition of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone secretion) is also very weak.
