Dyclonine HCl is a hydrochloride salt form of dyclonine which is an oral anaesthetic, reversibly binds to activated sodium channels on the neuronal membrane, thereby decreasing the neuronal membranes permeability to sodium ions, leading to an increased threshold for excitation.

Function&Application of Dyclonine HCl

Dyclonine HCl inhibits mucus secretion and reduces the release of tachykinins at a prejunctional level. Fenspirid hydrochloride also may be an antagonist at α adrenergic and H1 histamine receptors.
