What is Diosmin

Diosmin is a yellow to claybank powder.Diosmin is a flavanone glycoside found abundantly in citrus fruits.
Diosmin is also a potential sedative, possibly acting through opioid or adenosine receptors.Diosmin exhibited pronounced anticancer activity against some selected human carcinoma cell lines.Some in results applied only to the aglycone form.

Function&Application of Diosmin

1.Diosmin has antioxidant, antiinflammatory, hypolipidemic, vasoprotective and anticarcinogenic and cholesterol lowering actions
2.Diosmin can inhibit following enzymes: Phospholipase A2, lipoxygenase, HMG-CoA reductase and cyclo-oxygenase.

3.Diosmin can improve the health of capillaries by reducing the capillary permeabilit

4.Diosmin can be used to reduce hay fever and other allergic conditions by inhibiting the release of histamine from mast cells.
5.Diosmin can excite the heart and shrink the blood vessel, and then causes the hypertension. Patients with renal insufficiency:Patients with severe renal failure and need dialysis, the dose should not exceed 7.5mg/days.Patients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency do not need to adjust the dosage (such as patients with creatinine clearance greater than 25ml/minutes) Patients with severe renal failure without dialysis.
